Privacy Policy
Tic Tac Toe · by Dzynova Technologies
Effective date: 1 January 2026
Short version
Tic Tac Toe does not collect, store, or share any personal data. All game progress, settings, and statistics live only on your device. The app does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking. The only network interaction is an optional sign-in to Google Play Games; if you choose not to sign in, the app makes no network calls at all.
What data is stored on your device
The app stores the following values locally in Android
SharedPreferences (private to the app, never
transmitted off-device):
- Player 1 and Player 2 names and chosen emoji avatars
- Settings: theme preference, sound enabled, haptic feedback enabled, turn timer duration, game mode, AI difficulty
- Game statistics: games played, wins, losses, draws, best win streak, current streak, fastest win time, and whether the in-app rate-prompt has been dismissed
You can erase all data at any time. Two separate actions in Settings → Data Management cover different categories:
- Reset Statistics — erases your game history (wins, losses, draws, streaks, fastest-win time, rate-prompt state).
- Restore Defaults — erases your settings (player names, avatars, theme, sound, haptic, timer, game mode, AI difficulty).
To erase everything in one step, uninstall the app. After reinstalling, all stored values return to factory defaults.
Optional Google Play Games Services
The app optionally integrates with Google Play Games Services so you can compare high scores and unlock achievements. This integration is off by default; it is only activated when you choose to sign in to Google Play Games from the app.
If you sign in, Google Play Games Services receives your sign-in token and the score/achievement data the app submits on your behalf. Google processes that data under Google's own privacy policy. You can sign out, view your data, or request deletion via your Google account settings.
If you do not sign in, no data is sent to Google or to any other server by Tic Tac Toe.
Permissions
The Android build declares the following manifest permissions, used only as listed below:
INTERNET— used solely when you opt in to Google Play Games Services; not used at any other time.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE— used by Google Play Games Services to check connectivity when initiating sign-in.
The app does not request the following sensitive permissions: location, contacts, microphone, camera, calendar, storage, SMS, or phone state.
Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
Tic Tac Toe is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because no personal data is collected at all, the app is compliant with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions by default.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / equivalents)
Where applicable law grants you rights over personal data, the following apply:
- Access & portability — all data the app holds is on your device and can be reviewed from Settings → Data Management and the Statistics screen.
- Erasure — you can delete any category of locally stored data via Settings → Data Management: Reset Statistics clears game history, Restore Defaults clears settings. To erase everything in one step, uninstall the app.
- Objection / restriction — if you are signed in to Google Play Games Services, you may object to or restrict the processing of your Play Games data through your Google account settings.
Since the app does not run a server and does not transmit any personal data, there is no data of yours to amend at the developer's side.
Third-party links and assets
The app is fully self-contained. It does not embed web pages, load remote scripts, or display third-party advertising. The sound assets are bundled in the app package.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where required by applicable law, a notice in the app.
